Welcome to the Mabern.
The Mabern is a sports bar with a large function room and facilities for hot food. It has dart boards, pool tables and large flat screens for watching sports. At weekends, live entertainment is provided by local bands and artistes.
The premises have been open since the early 1900s. The Mabern is situated in the historic market place of Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 7SF. We are on the top floor of a Tudor-style building directly opposite the picturesque St Denys church (11th Century).

These premises have been used for many different ventures notably, the Sleaford Youth Club who over the years have seen performances from the likes of Status Quo, Hot Chocolate, and Vince Eager to name but a few, plus many more great local bands.
It has also previously been the venue for the Sleaford Snooker Club, the original Mabern Club and Sleaford Town Football Supporters Club, Where most Sleaford-born families have met, courted and celebrated their marriages over the years. The Mabern got its name from the original Mabern landlords in the 1960s, the Romneys, MABel and ERNie by taking the first three letters of each name
